April is Oral Health Month
Oral health is more than just clean teeth and healthy gums. Your healthy smile is a source of
confidence, comfort and joy. It is often the first impression you offer others and is a powerful focal
Did you know that your mouth can also offers early warning signs of health issues throughout your body?
During your dental examination we look for warning signs sleep or stress issues (such as grinding), side
effects of medications, effects of diabetes, body imbalances and even oral cancer.

This past winter was one for the books. Heavy snow and ice may have affected your home's exterior and
has likely made some changes to your landscaping. While it is easy to see what has happened on the
ground, we wanted to remind you look up! Damages eavesdrops can lead to future more expensive repairs
and damaged tree limbs can lead to unexpected surprises or worse once the weight of leaves is added over
the next month.

|A DENTAL SMACK DOWN!
The Smackdown: Although Val and Dr. Modi remain the best of co-workers and friends, there has been an intense rivalry that has developed over their running abilities.
It all started when Val said 2 months ago that she ran 7km to which Dr. Modi said "Did it take you 2 hours?" Naturally Val took offense to this and has been training ever since. When they both decided to enter the Brantford Classic, Val then asked Dr. Modi "Are you doing the 1km walk?" Dr. Modi in response to this sarcastic remark, said they should compete in the 10km race to prove who is the best. Val accepted the challenge. Based on previous running times, an arbitrator (i.e. Mary) decided that Dr. Modi would have to beat Val by 5min 30sec to win the bet.
If Val wins, she will receive a spa day package.
If Dr. Modi wins, Val will have to wash his car.
And so The Smackdown was born! Now the question is , who do you want to win the race? For every vote, Parkway Dentistry will donate a $1 to The Boy's and Girl's Club of Brantford.

|Is Your Smile in Shape?
Looking at old photos you think to yourself, why is that tooth longer than the other ones?

Tooth Reshaping, or Contouring, is an on the spot cosmetic treatment available to you. Dental Reshaping is used to correct crooked, chipped, cracked or overlapping teeth in as little as one session. The procedure can be used to alter the length, shape or position of your teeth.
A few millimetres of reduction here and a few millimetres of tooth-coloured laminate there. Subtle changes can often create a beautiful smile.

- 1 bunch if kale (any variety), chopped into bite size piece with rib removed
- 1 fennel
- 1 head red cabbage, shredded2 carrots, shredded
- 1 beet shredded
- 2 tbsp hemp seeds
- ½ cup olive oil or hemp oil
- ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 2-4 tablespoons raw unpasteurized honey
- 1 tsp sea salt
